Sesame seed is tiny, flat oval seeds that varies in color such as white, brown and black seeds obtained from a flowering plant in the genus Sesamum. It is an old oilseed crop grown for its seeds and oil.
It is best to purchase them in small quantity and use them quickly. It has high oil content so seeds will become rancid quickly. Make sure there is no moisture in the seeds.
