Ingredients For Akhha Masoor Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Wash and soak whole masoor dal for 5-6 hrs.
  • 2. Drain out water, wash masoor dal and cook in cooker on medium flame till 2 whistle.
  • 3. Now in a pan heat 2 tbsp oil add ginger garlic paste and saute for 6-7 seconds.
  • 4. Now in this add chopped onion and saute till become golden brown.
  • 5. Now add chopped tomatoes in this and saute for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes it will start leaving the pan.
  • 6. Now in this add all the spices like red chilli powder, garam masala, cumin powder, salt and sugar. Mix everything well.
  • 7. 5-6 tbsp Cooked masoor dal keep aside and smash it with help of smasher.
  • 8. This will help to thicken the gravy.
  • 9. Now in this add cooked whole masoor dal and smashed masoor dal in it. Mix well.
  • 10. Cover with a plate and cook for 2 minutes.
  • 11. Add finely chopped coriander leaves and give a mix.
  • 12. Akhha Masoor is ready to serve.
  • 13. You can serve with Chapati/ Fulka/ Roti.
  • 14. You can also serve with lemon piece and onion to enhance the taste.
