Ingredients For Balushahi

Methods
  • 1. In a mixing bowl take all ingredients,mix for 2-3 minutes for shortening method and by gradually adding water combine the mixture and no need to knead the dough just combine it.
  • 2. Roughly mix the dough for 2-3 minutes.
  • 3. Divide dough in equal portion of a lemon sized balls and flatten it and make a cavity in between with the help of thumb.
  • 4. Give all balls a shape of balushahi.
  • 5. Heat oil in a frying pan and place balushahi in slightly medium hot oil and leave it as it is and no need to stir it until it looks double bigger in size and automatically floating in oil.
  • 6. Now flip it and fry for 3-4 minutes and keep the flame low.
  • 7. In the meanwhile in a pot take sugar,water and crushed cardamom,cook it and make syrup of one string.
  • 8. Dip all the fried balushahi in sugar syrup for 15 seconds and coat it nicely with syrup.
  • 9. Balushahi is ready to serve.
