Chicken masala curry is one of the easy to go recipe of Indian cuisine. Simple and easy to cook and tastes delicious with Steamed rice, Roti or Paranthas.

Marinate the chicken with ginger garlic paste, turmeric, salt, yogurt and garam masala. Cover and set aside for 30 minutes

Heat oil in a pot, add cinnamon , cloves , cardamom and bay leaf in hot oil. Next add onions and green chillies and saute until onions turn golden brown.

Add ginger garlic paste and saute until raw smell disappears. Then pour the tomato puree add salt, red chilly powder and garam masala as well. Saute till mixture leaves the pan.

Add marinated chicken and stir for 4- 5 minutes on a medium flame. Then turn the flame to low and cover and cook for 7-8 minutes. Flip the chicken pieces and add coriander leaves and mint leaves. Cover again and cook the chicken until soft and tender. Add water accordingly to make curry of your thickness.
5.
Chicken masala curry is ready to be served hot with roti or rice of your choice.
