Ingredients For Crispy Suran Bites Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Peel yam and grate it, In a mixing bowl mix all the ingredients except oil and water.
  • 2. Mix the grated yam properly with all the dry ingredients and chopped coriander leaves.
  • 3. In a steamer boil water and grease the plate, spread the Yam mixture on the plate.
  • 4. Steam it for 10-12 minutes or till its done ,check with knife if it comes out clean its done.
  • 5. Once steamed let it cool down and cut it length wise into thick strips.
  • 6. Heat oil in a kadai for deep frying, once hot, fry these suran bites till crispy and golden on medium flame.
  • 7. Remove and serve, it doesn't need any dip its yummy.
  • 8. You can serve it with a chutney of your choice, or as a side dish with humble Dal rice.
