Ingredients For Gilchgi - Streamed Coconut Gujiya Recipe

Methods
  • 1. In a mixing bowl take wheat flour, in that add salt, oil and water as needed and knead a soft dough.
  • 2. Rest it for 10 minutes.
  • 3. Now grate the coconut.
  • 4. In that mix dry ginger powder, grated jaggery, cardamom powder and mix well.
  • 5. Now take a small portion of dough.
  • 6. Roll it and in that feel the coconut stuffing. Close it and cut from sides.
  • 7. Prepare all like this.
  • 8. Grease steel Vegetable/rice strainer with ghee and put all prepared Gilchgi in it.
  • 9. In big utensil boil water.
  • 10. Over that keep steel vegetable/rice strainer. Cover with plate and steam 8 minutes on high flame and 8 minutes on low flame.
  • 11. Healthy
  • 12. Delicious Gilchgi - Streamed Coconut Gujiya is ready to serve.
