Ingredients For LANCHA Bengali sweets Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Grate the mawa / whole dried milk and cottage cheese / paneer and mix well.
  • 2. We mashed the paneer / cottage and mawa / whole dried milk very well and make a soft and smooth dough.
  • 3. Add all purpose flour/maida,baking powder and milk and mix very well.
  • 4. Divide the dough in equal size balls.
  • 5. Roll each balls between your palms make cylindrical shape.
  • 6. All the balls are made in the same way.
  • 7. Heat enough oil in a pan for deep frying.
  • 8. Deep fry the lancha on low heat till golden brown.
  • 9. Drain in paper napkin.
  • 10. Drain in paper napkin.
  • 11. Keep in a medium flame for 10 minutes.
  • 12. When it gets stick it means syrup is ready.
  • 13. Add lemon juice and mix well.
  • 14. Add cardamom powder and saffron and mix well.
  • 15. Place the fried lancha in the sugar syrup.
  • 16. Soak them for two hours.
  • 17. Garnish with crushed almonds.
