Pao Bhaji Tart Recipe

I have made a traditional Maharastriyan dish Pao bhaji but serve it in tart cup. Experiment is successful...dry pao bhaji is really tastes good with crispy tart.

Ingredients For Pao Bhaji Tart Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Make a hard dough of flour, 50gm butter, pinch of salt & chilled water. Cover it & keep it in fridge for 10 minutes.
  • 2. For pao bhaji, heat 3 tbsp butter in a pan & then add chopped onion & ginger garlic chilli paste.
  • 3. Saute it for few minutes & then add boiled tomato paste , salt , peas & all spices.
  • 4. After 4 to 5 minutes add all boiled & smashed vegetables. Don't add water because we have to make almost dry pao bhaji.
  • 5. Cook it for 3 to 4 minutes more. Add lemon juice & switch off the flame.
  • 6. Now take out the tart dough from fridge. Take small portion from dough & roll out like small circle.
  • 7. Place the circle into a 3.
  • 8. Follow the method & make all the tarts.
  • 9. Prick the tarts with the help of a fork.
  • 10. Arrange the tarts on a baking tray & bake it in preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes at 180°C.
  • 11. Then brush butter inside the tarts, put 2 tbsp pao bhaji in it. Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves , chaat masala & few drops of melted butter.
  • 12. It's ready to serve now.
