Ingredients For Saiyal Mutton Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Wash mutton pieces thoroughly. Marinate it with salt and yoghurt. Keep aside for 45 minutes.
  • 2. Heat oil in a big vessel. Add bay leaves and chopped onions. Sauté at medium flame
  • 3. Lower the flame, add mutton pieces and cover it with lid. Let it cook in its own juices.
  • 4. Keep on stirring them every 8-10 minutes.
  • 5. Meanwhile, dry roast whole spices and grind them using mortar & pestle.
  • 6. Now add tomatoes, turmeric powder,red chilli powder, coriander powder and freshly ground spices. Mix it well.
  • 7. Cook it with lid covered on low flame. Let it simmer for 60-75 minutes to ensure the mutton is tender.
  • 8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Saiyal Mutton is ready to eat.
