Samosa Recipe

Samosa is a potato stuffed deep-fried tea-time snacks. Commonly they are made with potato stuffing but can also be made of keema or meat. All over India, we can get different taste samosa like Punjabi samosa, Maharashtrian samosa. But today I am presenting Bengali potato peas samosa with beautiful design.

Ingredients For Samosa Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Make a dough of flour,semolina,salt, carom seeds,1tspn oil & required hot water.Make hard dough of it.
  • 2. In another dough, mix beetroot paste for colour.Dough ingredients should be same.
  • 3. For stuffing, heat 1tspn oil & add panchforon seeds.
  • 4. When it will start to crackle, add chopped onion & ginger paste.Saute it for a while.
  • 5. Now add boiled chopped potato & peas.Add salt & all spice.Cook it for 5 to 7 minutes more.
  • 6. Stuffing is ready.
  • 7. Now take small portion from beetroot dough & roll it like oval shaped thin roti.
  • 8. Cut it into two pieces.Make dome small holes on it.
  • 9. Similarly make oval shaped thin roti from white dough.
  • 10. Now put the beetroot crust on white crust.Use some drops of water & make the edges tight.
  • 11. Make cone of it & put 2tspn potato stuffing in it.
  • 12. Bring the edges together & seal it well.
  • 13. Heat enough oil in a kadhai & deep fry it in medium flame till it turns golden brown.
  • 14. Don't make the flame high otherwise samosas will not crispy.
  • 15. Serve it hot with any of your favourite deep sauce & tea.
