"Schezwan French Fries" Recipe

American soldiers stationed in Belgium were first introduced to French fries during World War I. As the official language of the Belgian army was French, soldiers nicknamed the delicious fried potatoes “French fries." The name stuck, and decades later we're still giving credit to the wrong country. Traditionally, these fries are salted, but these days several variations have come and you can enjoy them with different kinds of cheese, herbs, and spices. Today's i also give them some twist schezwan sauce taste inside and sprinkle some oregano, chaat masala flavour on it. So let's start the recipe.

Recipe Notes

Firstly, fry the potatoes till they turn crispy, else it doesn’t taste good. Adjust salt according to taste. Dont over Boiled Potatoes wedges boil only for 4 minutes on medium flame.

  • 1. First Take a large pan and boil water for potatoes Cut the Potatoes in rectangle shapes.
  • 2. Boil it for 4 minutes. Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels or a clean kitchen towel. Arrange them in a single layer to air-dry for a bit. The drier the better.
  • 3. Now pour corn flour ,black pepper powder,salt,schezwan sauce on 3/4 boiled potatoes.mix it well till all potatoes properly coated.than take pan and heat sufficient oil for fry these potato wedges.Fry till light golden in color.
  • 4. Put the potato wedges on kitchen tissue paper for absorb access oil.
  • 5. Pour chaat masala, salt,oregano on it.Mix it well.
  • 6. Now, "Schezwan French Fries" are Ready to serve with Tomato sauce.No matter how you serve them, be sure to serve the fries while they're still warm.
