Ingredients For SHAHI PARWAL /POINTED GOURD RECIPE

Methods
  • 1. Wash pointed gourd / parwal properly.
  • 2. Cut the edges of the pointed gourd / parwal.
  • 3. Now cut them length wise from one side.
  • 4. Heat oil in a pan.
  • 5. Fry the pointed gourd / parwal in medium flame.
  • 6. Drain and keep aside.
  • 7. Take a bowl add cottage cheese / paneer,green chilly,coriander leaves and salt and mix well.'Now stuffing is ready.
  • 8. Stuff the filling in the fried pointed gourd / parwal.
  • 9. Now we make gravy.
  • 10. In a blender add chopped onion,garlic,ginger,whole black pepper,cloves,mace,cinnamon,black and green cardamom,red chilly powder,kashmiri mirch Powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder and little water and blend it.
  • 11. Make a fine paste.
  • 12. Heat oil in a pan.
  • 13. Add onion and spices paste and saute till spices leave the oil.
  • 14. Add tomato puree and curd and mix well.
  • 15. Add milk and cream and cover it and cook on a low flame.
  • 16. Add 1/2 cup of water and salt to make semi thick gravy.
  • 17. Add the stuff pointed gourd / parwal and cook for one minutes.
  • 18. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
