Thinai (Foxtail Millet) Moong pesarattu bites Recipe

Thinai in Tamil.. Foxtail Millet in English... .kangni in Hindi. We all are aware of Moong pesarattu..but in this recipe I gave a little twist by adding a very healthy, fiber-rich THINAI it helps to avoid breast cancer and heart disease.. it contains iron, magnesium, and potassium... very convenient for kids tiffin.. evening snacks..party ..dinner, etc. easily available in grocery shop.

Ingredients For Thinai (Foxtail Millet) Moong pesarattu bites Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Wash and soak Foxtail Millet and green moong for 5 to 6 hours.
  • 2. Grind it coarsely with green chilies, Ginger, salt and hing.
  • 3. Add little water, the batter should be neither be too thick nor too thin.
  • 4. Add onions and Mint leaves..mix well.
  • 5. Add Eno . mix well..
  • 6. Heat 1 tbsp oil in tawa on medium flame. Take a ladle of batter and pour it in the center.
  • 7. Spread it in a circular motion. Spread 1 tbsp of garlic chutney over it.
  • 8. Place 1 cheese slice. remove from the flame.
  • 9. Make a roll like Franky.. cut into 4 portion and make a bite size..
  • 10. Repeat the process and make more pesarattu ..cut and make bites..
  • 11. Serve hot..or you can send in your kids tiffin box..
