Ingredients For Vermicelli Kheer with Rasgulla recipe

Methods
  • 1. Boil milk first. When it will start to leave bubble,switch off the flame.
  • 2. Make it cool for few minutes and then add vinegar to curdle it.
  • 3. Drain out excess water and wash the paneer under cold water to avoid the sour taste of vinegar.
  • 4. Now take a muslin cloth, tie up the paneer in it and hang it for an hour.
  • 5. Then mash the paneer well. Add semolina and mash it again. Add food colour and make 2 different colours of dough.
  • 6. Boil sugar syrup with 1 cup sugar and 5 cup water.
  • 7. Now make small balls from red dough first. Then take small portion from green dough,put the red ball in it and wrap it well.
  • 8. When the syrup will start to boil,add all paneer balls gently.
  • 9. Boil it for 15 minutes in high flame with lid. After that switch off the flame and keep aside.
  • 10. For kheer, boil 1/2 liter milk.
  • 11. In another pan heat ghee and, add cardamom and vermicelli. Fry it for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • 12. Now add it to the boiling milk. Simmer milk on low to medium flame.
  • 13. Stir it occasionally so that the vermicelli and milk does not stick to the bottom.
  • 14. Add chopped cashew nuts and raisin. If you want to add sugar then add it now.
  • 15. Make the kheer thicken and switch off the flame.
  • 16. Make it cool for few minutes and then add liquid jaggery. Don't add jaggery in boiling milk to avoid it to curdle.
  • 17. Cut the rasgullas into halves.Take a serving plate now. Put the rasgullas on it and pour the kheer over it.
  • 18. Make it cool and keep it in fridge for half an hour.
  • 19. Enjoy chilled.
