Ingredients For Whole Wheat ( Atta ) Gujiya Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take a bowl add in whole wheat flour, maida, sooji, ghee and knead it into a dough while adding water.
  • 2. Once the dough is prepared, keep it aside for 20 minutes.
  • 3. For the filling: take a pan, add in the khoya and roast it for 5-6 minutes. After that take it out in a bowl and let it cool.
  • 4. Again take a pan, add in the chopped almonds, cashew, grated dry coconut and roast them.
  • 5. In a bowl, transfer the roasted khoya and roasted dry fruits, followed by powdered sugar. Mix them well. The roasted khoya and dry fruits should be in room temperature.
  • 6. Now roll the prepared dough into small circles, then place it over the gujiya mold and fill in the filling on one side of the mold, close the mold and remove the extra dough from the sides.
  • 7. Deep fry them in hot oil/ghee on a medium flame, until golden brown and crisp.
  • 8. Whole wheat ( atta ) gujiya is ready to serve.
