Description
Alfalfa is a herbaceous, perennial flowering plant in the legume family Fabaceae and originated in south-central Asia. As it develops, various stems bearing trifoliolate(leaves with three leaflets) leaves arise from the crown buds. Alfalfa powder is fine, light-green colored, odourless powder obtained from dried and ground alfalfa leaves. It can be used as a dietary supplement and can be added to food and vegetables.
