Description

Antioxidant (Calcium Disodium EDTA) is a polyamino carboxylic acid in the form of a colourless, water-soluble solid. It is a crystalline powder with a slightly salty flavour. It acts as an antioxidant and protects food from deterioration caused by oxidation, and also preserves flavor and color of food.

Note

Antioxidant (Calcium Disodium EDTA) intake in large amount may upset the digestive system. It may cause frequent and loose bowel movements and decreased appetite.(1) It may affect the kidneys and also interfere with zinc insulin preparations. Other adverse effects include chills, irregular heartbeat, excessive thirst, fatigue and allergic reactions.(2)
