Description

Banana leaves are leaves of the banana plant .They are large, elongated, and slightly rounded. The surface of the banana leaves are waxy, flexible, and glossy, and they range in color from lime, olive green, to dark green. The banana leaves do not have branching veins, and this makes them vulnerable to tearing easily. They are available throughout the year. They are believed to have originated in Southeast Asia. They are used by Hindus and Buddhists as a decorative element for special functions, marriages, and ceremonies in Southern India and Southeast Asia. They are used in various cuisines like Indian, Indonesian, Malaysian and Singaporean, Philippine, Mexican and Central American.
