Description

Black Kuruvai Rice is a variety of black rice but looks more red in color. It is one of the traditional rice variety in Tamilnadu, widely grown in Karnataka and Kerala. It is grown in the period of kuruvai, the time period from June to July. This variety of rice is low in sugar and is considered more nutritious than brown rice and white rice.
