Description

Cape gooseberry is a fruit of the potato family. It is a native of America.It is wrapped in a thin, straw colored, parchment like husk. Their inner juicy pulp contains very small yellowish seeds which are edible and have a crunchy texture. It is used in fruit salads, cocktails and also in desserts.
