  1. Caribbean chilli can be stored in zip top bag in refrigerator for two to three weeks. Caribbean chilli can be paired with tropical fruits in Caribbean cooking. It can be used to flavour sauces and condiments as well. It can be used in Caribbean-styled recipes like beef patties and, rice and beans. It can be used to make Caribbean or West Indian pepper sauces. used as a condiment or to season fish, poultry and meat.

Description

Caribbean chilli is a variety of hot chilli and a cultivar of Capsicum chinense. It is almost 1.5 inches in size and appears in the shape of a bonnet. It has four globular ridges at the bottom and turns from green to yellow to scarlet red when ripe. It also has some varieties ripening to shades of orange and brown. It has a smooth, waxy touch and is found everywhere in West Africa. It is of Jamaican origin and most common in Caribbean foods. It is often used in hot sauces and condiments as well.
