  3. It can be served as a dipping oil for breads like rosemary garlic bread.
  4. It can be used to make sauces for chicken, pasta and sausages, like arrabbiata sauce.
  5. It can be used as a finishing oil, drizzled over top of pizza and salads.

Description

Chilli garlic oil is oil infused in red chili flakes, garlic cloves and salt on a low heat flame for 4-5 minutes. The mixture is allowed to steep for an hour as the flavors infuse. The oil can be strained, discarding garlic gloves and herbs for a longer shelf life and more refined appearance. It can be used as a dipping oil and as a finishing oil at the end of a recipe to add flavor.

Selection Guide

When buying chilli garlic oil in packaged form, check for its expiry date before purchasing. When making at home, go for a mild flavoured oil (so that the oil doesn't over power the flavour). Look for fresh garlic cloves for infusion and avoid those with damp or soft spots.
