Description

Coconut chutney is a condiment prepared by blending fresh coconut, cumin, ginger, chilies, and salt. It is tempered with mustard seeds, oil, dry red chili, curry leaves, and hing. It can also be made with variation in ingredients that include fried gram, chana dal, shallots, coriander leaves, garlic, and mint leaves. each of these ingredients gives a different taste to the chutney. It is widely served as an accompaniment to South Indian cuisines.
