Description

Colour (INS120) is a deep-red pigment obtained from the aluminium salt of carminic acid(produced by some scale insects, such as the cochineal scale and the Polish cochineal). It can be in liquid or powder form, dispersible in water or oil. It is used as a red food coloring agent in food and beverages.
