Usage Tips

  1. Diglycerides Fatty Acids can be used as emulsifiers in ice cream, peanut butter, chewing gum, shortening, bakery products, beverages, margarine, confections, candies, whipped cream and pringles potato chips.

Description

Diglycerides Fatty Acids are glycerides consisting of two fatty acid chains, covalently bonded to a glycerol molecule through ester linkages. They are mixed with monoglycerides (E471) to be used as food additives in the form of emulsifiers in processed foods to improve texture and stability. They can help prevent oil from separating, and also extend shelf life.
