Usage Tips

  1. Disodium Diphosphate can be used in packaged hash browns to prevent the potato from oxidizing and browning.
  2. It can be used in canned seafood to retain color and to prevent decomposition.
  3. It can be used as leavening agent (acts like yeast) for breads.
  4. It can also be added to rennet casein as a food preservative.

Description

Disodium Diphosphate is a chemical additive, a combination of phosphates and sodium. It appears as odorless white, water-soluble solid used as a food preservative, buffering and chelating agent.
