Description

E509 is an inorganic compound in the form of white coloured crystalline solid which is highly soluble in water. It is considered as a food additive in the form of anticaking agent, stabilizer, preservative and firming agent.

Note

Permitted Anticaking Agent (E509) can cause irritation to the skin and eyes if it comes in contact. If consumed in large quantities, it can cause nausea, vomiting or gastric distress. It can also cause irritation in the respiratory tract, if inhaled.(1)
