Food Grade colour is a color additive, that imparts color when added to food or drink and is safe for consumption. They may come in many forms like liquids, gels, powders and pastes. They can be naturally or artificially produced. The main purpose of using food grade colours are to enhance the look and appeal of the food product and make it more appetizing, Sometimes it is to restore the color loss in a food due to exposure to light, air, extreme temperature ,moisture and storage conditions.
