Fructose is one of the three dietary monosaccharides which is a sweet substance, naturally present in fruits and vegetables. It is in the form of white crystalline sugar which is water soluble. It is considered as a sweetening agent.
It is available in powdered and syrup form. Check for the "best before" date on its packaging.
