Taste Profile

It has a somewhat grassy taste without the bitterness. It is neither sweet or savory but gives warm, spicy undertones.

Description

Ginger Tea is prepared by fresh grated or chopped ginger root (a one-inch piece of ginger per cup of tea) boiled in fresh water for 10 minutes on high heat. It can be flavored with peppermint, cinnamon stick, fresh turmeric, honey or lemon to mask the taste of the ginger.
