Usage Tips

  1. Liquid glucose is used as a main ingredient in hard-boiled candies.
  2. They can be used in both cooked and raw preparations, depending upon their maturity.
  3. It can also be used in jams, jellies, chewing gums and canned fruits.
  4. It can also be used as a flavouring and preservative in mouth fresheners.
  5. It should be stored in tightly-closed container in a cool and dry place.
  6. Liquid glucose should be protected against humidity and sunshine.

Liquid glucose is a thick, syrupy, odorless and colorless or yellowish liquid obtained by the incomplete hydrolysis of starch, primarily consisting of dextrose with dextrins, maltose, and water. It is used as a flavoring agent and can be used in treating dehydration.
