Description

Lubricants (INS 553(iii) is a naturally occuring form of hydrous magnesium silicate containing varying proportions of minerals such as chlorite, dolomite, kaolin, magnesite, alpha-quartz, calcite and phlogopite. It is in the form of fine, odourless, white or grayish white, crystalline powder. It can be used as a filling agent, anti-caking agent, coating agent, lubricating and release agent. It can also be used in the processing of white rice as a buffing agent in the polishing stage(stage when rice are milled to remove the husk, bran, germ, and some amounts of the nutrients in them).
