Description

Mango ginger belongs to the family of Zingiberaceae. It is neither related to mango nor ginger but to turmeric. It is a raw turmeric (kacchi haldi). It is basically a rhizome which is pale yellow in color from inside and lighter color outside. Mango ginger is an Ayurvedic spice that is used for the treatment of joint pain, itching in the skin, indigestion, and cough. Mango ginger is used in South Asian and South East Asian as well as Far East Asian cuisines.
