Description

Matcha is a finely ground, bright emerald- green tea powder which is made from small green tea leaves that have been steamed briefly, then dried, and are used to make tea and as a flavoring in desserts. Matcha is prepared from a high-quality shade-grown leaf known as tencha. It is made by removing the stems and veins from tencha and stonegrinding the rest of the leaf to make a powder. Matcha tea is traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony.

Selection Guide
