Description

Mirapa is a type of pepper, also known as Capsicum frustescens that is cultivated for its chili flavor. It includes a variety of peppers that are made up of small pods having an ellipsoid-conical shape. It is often produced in clusters. Peppers of this species range in heat from a mid-level spiciness of 30,000 to 50,000 Scoville heat units. The exact origin of Capsicum Frutescens is unclear. However, it is believed to have originated in South or Central America. As they begin to grow, the fruit starts with a yellow color which continues to darken as they mature and then gradually turn red. As it progresses through various stages of ripening, the fruit continues to change color, displaying a range of crimson shades until finally reaching full maturity.
