When whole-grain barley is processed to remove its hull and polished to remove the bran it results in pearl barley. It has pale, creamy-colored grains that have soft, chewy texture.

Selection Guide

Check for the "use-by" date on the label of pearl barley. Make sure the grain are clean and free from dust and debris.
