Description

Pepper Root is an erect, perennial, spring woodland plant native to North America. It is found in moist woodlands, from April to June and grows approximately 30 cm tall. It is a four petal flower which blooms in a cluster on a single stalk. It has a single pair of toothed stem leaves, each divided into three broad leaflets. The narrow seed pods appear below the flower cluster after the flowering.
