Permitted Food Color & Flavor are basically additives that are added to food products to enhance the colour or flavour or to restore the lost colour and flavour of the product. This is done to make the food product appealing to the consumers. Food colours and flavours that are only allowed by the Food Authority in each country are only to be used and hence called Permitted Food Colour and Flavour.These can obtained from synthetic or natural sources and there is a limit on the amount they can be used, thus ensuring safety of the consumers.

While buying Permitted Food colour and flavour , make sure it is bought in packaged form and from a reputed manufacturer. It is best to choose those that are natural or organic than synthetic ones.
