  3. They can be used in beverages like whiskey, carbonated soft drinks, and beer. They can also be used as an emulsifier in soft drinks.

Description

Permitted Natural Colour (E 150) are water-soluble, dark brown food colors approved by the European Union (EU). They are produced by heat treatment of sucrose and have a sweet aroma. Their variations include 150(a) - Plain Caramel, 150(b) - Caustic Sulphite Caramel, 150(c) - Ammonia Caramel and 150(d) - Sulphite Ammonia Caramel. They are considered as coloring agents for food and beverages.
