Description

Permitted stabilizer is authorised food additive that helps to preserve the structure of the food. It maintains the uniform dispersal of substances in the food. A few permitted stabilizers include guar gum, gelatin, gum arabic, carrageen, agar and alginate. These are added to a wide range of products to perform different functions. It prevents oil , water emulsions from separating in food products like salad dressings. It prevents ice crystals from forming in frozen food like ice creams. It prevents fruit from settling in products like jellies, jam and yogurt.
