  1. Preservative (Nisin) can be used as a preservative in processed cheese, meats, dairy products, salad dressing and beverages to increase their shelf life and protect them against bacteria.


Preservative (Nisin) is a naturally occuring food preservative which is polycyclic antibacterial peptide produced by the bacterium Lactococcus lactis. It is considered as an authorised food additive in the European Union (EU).

Check for the "use by" date on the packaging of Preservative (Nisin).
