Description

Red lentils are small, lens-shaped legumes that range from yellow and red to green, brown and black. They are also made into flour. Red lentil flour is simply made from red split lentils. Firstly they are lightly roasted and then grounded into a fine flour.

Selection Guide

Look for red lentils that are dry, firm, clean and shriveled to make flour at home. If buying readymade red lentil flour, check the manufacturing date and expiry date.
