Description

Paprika is a ground spice made from dried red fruits of sweeter varieties of the plant Capsicum annuum. Paprika sauce is easily available at commercial stores but can also be made at home. Just heat the oil in pan. Add the garlic and 1/2 tsp. salt, turn the heat down to low, and cook, stirring occasionally, until soft, about 3 minutes. Add the peppers and cook, stirring occasionally, for another 1 minute. Add the paprika, transfer the mixture to a food processor, and let cool for a few minutes. Blend it well and then tranfer it to a container for further cooling. Once at room temperature, store it in the refrigerator.

Selection Guide

While buying ready made sauce make sure to check the manufacturing date before buying. Also read the label very carefully.
