Rosematta Rice are an indigenous variety of rice grown in Palakkad District of Kerala. Rosematta Rice are different from brown rice. They are brown in colour. They are popular in Sri Lanka and Kerala where they are used on a regular basis for idlies, appams and are also consumed as regular plain rice.
