Saffron water is a saffron infusion prepared by saffron soaked in hot water(not boiling) for at least half an hour. It requires about three times as much water as saffron. It can be used to give food a subtle sweet, grassy flavor and also a hint of orangish-yellow color. Saffron water is the best way to draw out saffron's unique flavor instead of using saffron threads.
