Description

Sankeshwari Chilli is a bright orange color chili grown in Sankeshwar, a town near Kolhapur, Maharashtra. It draws its name from its place of origin, Sankeshwar. It is widely used in powdered form in the North of Goa. Sankeshwar being close to Kolhapur, Sankeshwari Chilli, in addition to lavangi mirchi is widely used in Kolhapuri food making it hot and spicy. It can be used as a substitute for expensive masalas in dishes.
