Description

Sodium diacetate is a sodium acid salt of acetic acid which is used in candy, meat products, oil, snacks, soups. It is a white crystalline powder that have an odor of acetic acid. It is a flavoring compound that is used as an anti-microbial agent for meat products. As a food additive, sodium diacetate has E number E262 and it is used to impart a salt and vinegar flavor.

Excess consumption of Sodium diacetate can cause dry skin, irritation, itching, rashes and stinging.(1)
