Description

Sodium erythorbate is basically a food additive that is used predominantly in meats, poultry, and soft drinks. Sodium erythorbate is a type of additive and is a synthetic variation of ascorbic acid. It is produced from sugar that is derived from different sources, such as beets, sugar cane and corn. It is almost odorless fluffy and white to off-white crystalline powder. It is soluble in water.

Note

People who are sensitive to sodium erythorbate, may experience side effects like headaches, dizziness, fatigue, lethargy and body flushing. Excess consumption of sodium erythorbate may also cause a buildup of acidic substances which increase the risk of kidney stones.(1)
