Description

Stabilizer (1400) is a food additive obtained by heating a starch in the presence of moisture and acid. The starch may be from sources like corn, tapioca or wheat. They exist usually as white, yellow, or brown powder. They help stabilize or preserve the structure of food when added to it, like maintaining the texture of salad dressings and preventing it from splitting.
