Description

Unrefined sugars are the least refined cane sugars. These sugars include a range of sweetening agents like muscovado, panela, jaggery, and piloncillo. The production process of these sugars starts by collecting and clarifying the cane juice, which is then concentrated. As the juice's water is boiled off, sticky dark syrup called molasses surrounds the pure sucrose crystals. As opposed to raw and refined sugars, which are centrifuged to remove most or all of the original molasses. Unrefined sugars have more nutrients than white sugar. They are less processed and their richer flavours can make recipes more delicious.
